Hundreds of Motivational Prompts
This resource is designed to develop writing fluency using motivational prompts for every day of the school year. Prompts are categorized by domain – expressive, narrative, informative, and persuasive – to easily coordinate with skill lessons. Students choose from a selection of thought-provoking ideas each week to encourage continuous daily writing.
Developing Writing Fluency provides you with the tools to give your students the opportunity to choose from a variety of creative, inspiring topics. Your students gain practice in writing to a prompt – a skill needed in test taking, on college and job applications, and throughout their lives – while gaining new skills in fluency.
This resource includes a selection of seven writing prompts for each week of the year – that's 364 writing prompts in all. Organized into 13-week segments, ideas cover all four writing domains: expressive, narrative, informatiive, and persuasive. Each weekly selection lists the critical components for each writing concept or skill. Teach tips and assessment ideas are also included.
