To learn sight words, beginning readers need lots of repetition and practice that includes reading, writing, and saying the words. Sight Word Puzzles and Activities provides the teacher or parent with diverse, creative, and fun puzzle pages that will have students reading and writing the most common sight words.
This resource is organized around a total of 165 sight words (the first eight Dolch sight word lists as well as the color and number words) divided into 10 chapters, one for each list. Every chapter begins with flash cards for the words in that chapter. Six or seven different kinds of puzzles and activities follow that are designed to encourage and engage students in reading and writing the words. The activities get progressively harder within each chapter and throughout the book.
